He had had an ongoing battle with drugs throughout the years, and it is just so unfortunate to see that the demons he tried to fight off, got the best of him in the end... I pray that he rests in eternal peace now.

this was unsettling (though sadly not shocking) news. By not shocking, I mean that I saw how bad his addiction was when catching some of that show Two Corys. Still, he helped define an era, that's for sure. It's strange, actually; I had been cleaning my office closet and came across my diary from 1987. My hubby asked me to read some of it out for a laugh. Several times I read out passages like, "I heart Corey Haim" and "Corey Haim is a Babe," etc. I was totally a part of that Teen Beat/Tiger Beat generation...
It's always hard when we realize our childhood idols are human afterall.
Man.. those kid actors have it tough. So many fall astray. So young too.. very sad indeed.
