Yay for Tom!

Happy Wednesday dahhlings! How is the first week of the new year and the new decade treating you so far? I hope everything is going fantastically well for you and yours and that you are keeping warm wherever you may be :) As for myself, well after conquering what was ailing me last month, I was attacked by all the vile viruses lurking in the air, and got a darn cold! I tried to fight it off as much as I could, but ultimately it was stronger than me, and it got me! Fortunately though, baby has been able to dodge all the germs with the help of quarantining myself, and disinfectants! so hopefully we'll be able to continue warding off those nasty little germs away from her!

So with the new year, I find myself once again thinking about these little things called 'resolutions' that everyone else has been pondering about I'm sure...and though I'm not one to tell what my resolutions are because I find that I jinx myself in doing so, and I don't actually go through with them...I thought and would like to share one with you, with hopes that it will perhaps inspire you as well!

I often think about how I can give back and help those that are less fortunate than me, and well..in my quest,  I discovered Tom . Their cause is about helping children in third world countries by providing them with a pair of shoes. You might think, well what is the big deal with a pair of shoes? But you see, it is a BIG deal because walking is the primary or only source of transportation for these kiddies, and without shoes, they are susceptible to contracting parasitic diseases that enter through sores they may get while walking barefoot! Another factor about providing these children with shoes is that children cannot attend school barefoot, and unfortunately if they do not arrive at school in full uniform, including shoes, they cannot stay..how sad is that?

So Tom's idea is One for One...for every pair of shoes that you buy, they give a pair of shoes to a child in need. At first,  I thought they would give them some crappy pair of shoe, but the great thing is that they give them a pair of shoes from the ones they manufacture which I think is sweeet! Isn't this a fantastic cause? So come on! hop on over to Toms, and buy yourself a cute pair of shoes whilst knowing you're helping out a darling child with a pair of badly needed footwear somewhere :)

Have a wonderful evening dahlings,
